GERBU was founded in 1986 to set up biochemical production and to trade from Germany with Bulgaria (Ger-Bu) and Russia; it counts on experience and contacts spanning two generations. Its focus today is west-west trade; good connections, however, have allowed us to build up bulk business worldwide.

The GERBU ADJUVANT PROJECT: Research was started in our laboratories followed by extended animal studies in USA (Seattle, San Diego), Vilnius (Latvia), Sofia (Bulgaria), BGVV (Berlin) and the biochemistry laboratory at ETH (Zurich). Eight years later we had the desired formula, described in eight patents and two publications. GERBU ADJUVANT drastically improves the yield of polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies. It could even help developing better and cheaper vaccines for veterinary and pharmaceutical use. GERBU ADJUVANT will help make better and cheaper vaccines against major viral infections such as Hepatitis B and HIV. It also drastically improves the yield of polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies.

In 1990 we established GERBU BIOCHEMICALS MART, our retail division for OEM price supply of biochemicals, reagents, nutrient media & ingredients. Our customers are based worldwide and range from universities to industry and pharmaceutical research companies.
